Individuals who work with young children should know how to identify child abuse and neglect, and how to report neglect and/or abuse. Additionally, many individuals who work with young children in the State of Oregon must receive two hours of training in the detection, identification, reporting and prevention of child abuse and neglect. This course is designed to meet the State of Oregon two-hour training requirment and to provide an introduction to how to prevent, identify and report abuse and neglect for all those who are interested. There are no pre-requisites for this workshop. However, all students who are intending to use this workshop for their required 2 hour child abuse training are urged to contact their local SCF office before completing the workshop to insure that the workshop will meet the 2 hour clock requirement.
