Chemeketa Online

Open Door Policy
Chemeketa Community College's "open door" policy means that, in general, you may enroll if you are 18 years of age or older and can benefit from the instruction.

However, we have enrollment limitations for some classes and programs, and a few of our programs have special admission requirements. If you have questions, phone the Student Records (Admissions) Office for details about limited-enrollment and special-enrollment programs, 503-399-5006.

Enrollment by younger students
Students younger than 18 who have a high school diploma or GED certificate may enroll.

Students younger than 18 who do not have a high school diploma or GED certificate should contact the Enrollment Services (Admissions) Office in Building 2 or call 503-399-5006.

NSD Classes
Chemeketa has a No-Show/Drop procedure for some classes. These classes are identified as "NSD" in the list of classes.

Under this procedure, if you do not attend the first class session and you do not contact the instructor prior to missing the first class session you may be dropped at the discretion of the program director.

If you are dropped under this procedure, you will be mailed a notice informing you of the date you were dropped, the course number and name, and the name of the instructor.

This procedure will allow additional students to enroll in a class previously identified as full.

Note-Veterans, financial aid, and agency students: This may affect your eligibility for tuition assistance.

Waiting lists
Some instructors keep waiting lists for full classes. You will be informed of this option when you attempt to register for a class that is full. Contact the instructor directly to be put on a waiting list.

Cancelling classes
Chemeketa reserves the right to cancel a class because of low enrollment.

Enrollment records
Chemeketa maintains grade transcripts on a permanent basis . However, some student records are kept for a maximum of 10 years. These records may include graduation evaluations, transfer credit evaluation forms, and curriculum deviation form, in addition to evaluation of progress toward graduation and correspondence.
