Chemeketa Television (CTV)

Go to your local Chemeketa campus to join classes telecast from the Salem campus.  Live instruction is telecast directly from the Salem campus to outreach campuses at McMinnville, Woodburn and to the Grand Ronde Education Center.  CTV students attend in Salem, Building 9, Room 114 (unless otherwise noted).  Be sure to register under the correct Course Reference Number (CRN) for your location if you are attending at an outreach campus.

CTV Cable Classes

You may attend on campus or participate in live CTV courses right in your home as they are being taught simultaneously over cable television.  Use your telephone to interact with the class and instructor.  (If you are unable to watch these classes at the broadcast times, record and watch them later at your convenience.)   Registration in CTV classes implies consent to record, copy, distribute, exhibit, and transmit name, voice and likeness in connection with the course by means of broadcast, closed-circuit microwave, cable-cast, videotape, film, or any electronic or mechanical method.

You will participate by either:

• Attending on the Salem campus in Building 9, Room 114.
• Attending at the McMinnville campus, Woodburn campus or the Grand Ronde Education Center.
• Participating from home on cable television for courses which have that option.

CTV-Chemeketa Live Interactive Television Classes to Outreach Campuses

You attend at the location where you are registered on the days and times the course meets. Be sure to register for the location where you will be attending class. If you are viewing the course live on television, you will need access to cable TV (not available on satellite services). See the list of Cable Channels below for availability in your area. You will be asked to sign a video release form on the first day of class.

• View the class lecture on a television monitor located in a designated classroom at your local Chemeketa campus.
• Use tabletop microphones to interact with your instructor and with students at other locations.
• Assignments and class materials will be delivered to your local college campus for you via the Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service Courier.
• Return completed assignments to your instructor by courier service. A facilitator at your location will let you know where to pick up papers delivered by the courier and where to leave your papers for pick up.
• Library Services are available to all CTV students.  Information regarding library services and access is available on the web at http://library.chemeketa.edu.
