HOW TO

CREATE A BLACKBOARD ACCOUNT

  1. Go to http://clackamas.blackboard.com
  2. Click on the "Create Account" button.
  3. Fill in the information requested (name, e-mail address, and your choice of login/password are all that are required). Don't leave out your email address!
  4. Write down your login/password and keep it in a place where you'll be able to find it if you forget what it is.
  5. Click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page.
  6. Click "OK" on the next screen.

HOW TO

FIND YOUR CLASS IN BLACKBOARD

 

  1. Go to http://clackamas.blackboard.com
  2. Create your account if you haven't already done so.
  3. If you already have an account, login with your account name and password.
  4. Click on the "COURSES" tab near the top of your screen on the left side.
  5. On the right side of the screen (under "Course Catalog"), click on the appropriate category for your course (usually it will be the current term, followed by subcategories representing subject areas).
  6. A list of courses will appear. Locate the name of your course in this list. Don't click on the course link! Instead:
  7. Click on the "ENROLL" button for the class, which is shown to the right of the name of the class. Don't skip this step!

When you click on the ENROLL button, an e-mail to the course instructor is automatically sent. When the instructor gets the e-mail, he/she will enroll you in the class through Blackboard. Once this is done, you will get a confirming e-mail back from the instructor. You can now start the class.

HOW TO

START YOUR BLACKBOARD CLASS

Once you receive an e-mail confirming your enrollment in the class through Blackboard, take the following steps to get started:

  1. Go to http://clackamas.blackboard.com
  2. You will see a link to your course under "Courses in Which You are Participating"
  3. Click on the link. This will take you to the home page for the course in Blackboard.
